Happy New Year!

It is January 1st, and I've already purged files, rearranged my home office, put away all the Christmas things and written thank you notes.

No, I'm not super woman. I just got up early and was enthused to start this new year organized and ready to go. I started reflecting on this past year, and indeed on the past few years after becoming bishop. What a wild ride it has been!

If you didn't attend our diocesan convention, here is a link to the video that Mary Trainor, Chris Tumilty and I put together with highlights of the last 2 1/2 years: http://youtu.be/qoMg0noaoAY. You may have to go to YouTube and paste that in to see it.

Happy New Year everyone! Blessings and love to you all!

  1. Busy lady! I've always left Christmas in place until Epiphany, but I recently read of a tradition followed by some of leaving it up until Candlemas. I'm toying with that. Maybe take the tree down before that (people might think I'm the 'weird Christmas Lady' otherwise) but leave the Nativity and a few other things out. I'll see.

Happy New Year to you and all your family.

  2. Happy New Year Bishop Diane! Thanks for sharing great thought to think about our past year, and also about our wild run for acheivements and goals, and also it's really great to read that we are human bing and don't bother to think of us a super-being.
    God's grace,
    Rev. Riaz & Mary
